Sicily - Malta

Sail trim and performance sailing
This is the return leg to the previous sailing adventure departing Palermo to Valetta aboard the famous Provonia 38 racing cruiser, "Seawolf."
With the vessel being designed for racing, we will be using our sea time to learn all about high performance sailing!
After departure we will head along the Tyrrhenian coast towards the volcanic Aeolian Islands. From there, we travel south through the Strait of Messina stopping off in Catania for a visit to Mount Etna, and onwards to Syracuse for a dose of history and culture. As we travel further south we will stop to take in the more relaxed pace of life in Marzememi and the stunning island of Gozo before arriving in Valetta.
A mile-builder, history, culture and performance sailing all rolled into one trip.
Around the Isle of Skye

Oban to Mallaig
There are so many songs and poems written about the famous Isle of Skye and no wonder. The beauty of this remote part of Scotland is truly breathtaking.
Sailing the wildlife rich waters surrounding Skye and the other inner islands, is as tranquil as can be. Bring your binoculars as we may see dolphins, whales, basking sharks and eagles.
Join us for an adventure to experience what simply cannot be seen from land. Witness stunning mountain ranges and picturesque beaches, all in the company of other adventurers who wish for nothing more than to step away from the hustle of regular life.

Mallaig to Oban
The return leg from Mallaig to Oban will be unique from the outbound trip since there are so many places to visit, we cannot possibly include it all in just 7 days of week one.
With that in mind, the return route around Skye back to the Small Isles and on toward Mull, will be a different trip but with the same focus on seeing the majestic mountains and stunning coastlines that this remote sailing area has to offer.

As most of you will probably understand, once you qualify as a RYA Day Skipper you may still feel nervous about certain manoeuvres or skippering tasks.
This week is put together specifically for you to practice all the things you did not get time for on your course.
Forget "mile building". This is skill and confidence building!
You will be concentrating on doing the "hard yards" of sailing: the repetition that develops confidence and sure handling. All under our expert watchful eyes, coaching and offering advice.

Skippering Masterclass

If you are planning on chartering for the first time somewhere hot and sunny, or indeed if it has been a while since you were last in command of a boat, then you may want to brush up on the knowledge and skills that really matter.
Almost every “Masterclass” in sailing is focussed on how to handle a yacht. This course is unique in its approach since the goal is to improve your command understanding which in turn boosts crew and boat management; crucial for sailors of all levels from Day Skipper to Yacht Master, particularly with novice crew.
This training will include challenges and exercises which bring your attention to the key elements of communication. We will work on engaging your analytical skills to predict boat movements and how to use or counter them. A true "Masterclass".

Covering around 180NM, we will stop off at beautiful harbours, marinas and swim spots as we take a gentle sail in one of the most popular sailing areas in Europe.
Those who have joined us in Greece before understand that the weather is stunning at that time of year and the sea is very warm.
Of course there are chances to learn more about this amazing sport on this journey so we grab them with both hands whenever the opportunity arises.
As part of the Sailing Jollies fleet, we have a fantastic social atmosphere to take in and make this a trip to remember.
Kefalonia to Athens

This is very much a sailing social trip with 8 boats in total in partnership with the Sailing Jollies fleet, but of course our yacht still comes with the XP at Sea advice on the water you all know to expect from us.
Enjoy the finest cuisine and best Greek wine as the weather turns fine. Swim in beautiful bays and work on that tan in comfortable temperatures rather than the blistering summer sun.
With stops at the sites of Delphi and Epidavros, you will get to sample some of the best preserved historic attractions of the ancient world.
